These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the StepTeddy app operated by Deniz Ilkaya ("Service Provider"). By downloading or using StepTeddy, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using the app.

Use of the App

StepTeddy is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. If you are under 16, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf. You agree not to reverse engineer, modify, copy, or distribute the app or any part of it, and not to attempt to access it in unauthorized ways.

Health Disclaimer

StepTeddy is not a medical device and is not intended for medical use. Step counts and activity data are provided for informational and motivational purposes only. This data should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified health professional with any questions about your health.

In-App Purchases

StepTeddy requires a paid subscription or one-time lifetime purchase to access its features. Payments are processed through Apple's App Store. Subscription management and cancellation can be done through your Apple ID account settings. The Service Provider uses RevenueCat to manage purchases — their terms apply: RevenueCat Terms.

Lifetime Purchase

The term "lifetime" refers to the current availability of the Service and does not guarantee perpetual access. If the Service is discontinued, no refund will be issued for lifetime purchases. The Service Provider will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice before discontinuing the Service.

Intellectual Property

All content, graphics, software, trademarks, and branding within StepTeddy are the property of Deniz Ilkaya and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the Service Provider's name, logo, or branding.

Termination

The Service Provider may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms. Where the breach can be remedied, you will receive written notice and 14 days to resolve it. Immediate termination without notice applies if you violate applicable law or infringe intellectual property rights. Upon termination, your right to use the app ends and you must delete all copies from your devices.

App Updates & Discontinuation

The Service Provider may release updates to the app from time to time. You should accept updates when offered; older versions may stop functioning if not updated. The Service Provider also reserves the right to discontinue the app at any time. Upon discontinuation, your license to use the app ends. The Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your device, as this may cause the app to malfunction and exposes your device to security risks.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StepTeddy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The Service Provider is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. The Service Provider's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact the Service Provider at appsbydeniz@gmail.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. The Service Provider will make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter within 30 days of receiving your complaint.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts having jurisdiction under applicable law. Your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law are not affected.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. All other provisions remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Service Provider regarding your use of StepTeddy, superseding any prior agreements.

Changes to Terms

The Service Provider may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
